SpecialEyes Optometry was founded in 2008 by a husband and wife team who wanted to bring their years of optometry experience in a variety of specialties to the Santa Clarita and Antelope Valleys. Proudly located inside of the Costco Vision Centers, at SpecialEyes Optometry we pride ourselves on efficient yet accurate eye examinations with an emphasis on patient satisfaction. In addition to providing routine eye examinations for patients of all ages, we also “specialize” in contact lens fittings, the treatment of eye infections and injuries, and the diagnosis and management of eye diseases of all kinds. We are open 6-7 days a week with an eye doctor available to serve you by appointment or even walk-in!

Serving the Lancaster and Santa Clarita Communities

Dr. Mohana and Dr. Pedarsani have been serving the communities of Lancaster since 2008 and Santa Clarita since 2009. Dr. Mohana and Dr. Pedarsani are happily married with two young boys, and they share a patient-first philosophy in their practices. Beyond their commitment to providing the highest level of care, both Dr. Mohana and Dr. Pedarsani take pride in dealing with patients on a personal level, making the extra effort to keep their patients informed and comfortable with the process.

They are dedicated to answering any questions their patients may have, and very often they will consult one another to make sure all options are being considered. Dr. Mohana and Dr. Pedarsani bring a family approach to their practice and it does not take long to understand why their patients are so happy with their results.

Tarek Mohana, O.D.

Dr. Tarek Mohana was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan. He graduated from the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor with an undergraduate degree in 1997. He then went on to receive his Doctorate of Optometry from the Illinois College of Optometry in 2002. Dr. Mohana is an avid sports fan and loves to spend his free time attending live games in person. Dr. Mohana makes it his goal that every patient is treated with the utmost respect and is content with the level of service they are provided.

Nasim Pedarsani, O.D.

Dr. Nasim Pedarsani was born and raised in Southern California and graduated from the University of California Irvine in 1998. She then went on to the Illinois College of Optometry, where she received her Doctorate of optometry degree in 2003. Dr. Pedarsani also completed a one year residency where she specialized in Ocular Disease and Low Vision in 2004. Dr. Pedarsani loves her work and wants each patient to feel welcome in the office and ensures each of her patients leaves happy with their experience.
