Do I need a Costco membership to see a doctor?
No. SpecialEyes is an independent practice inside Costco. Just tell the door greeter you have an eye appointment — no membership required.
How much does an eye exam cost?
Comprehensive exam starts at $85. A contact lens fitting can be added for an additional $40–$60. Insurance copays are typically lower. Call (661) 945-0710 to verify your benefits.
Do you accept walk-ins?
Yes. Both locations accept walk-in patients every day during open hours. No appointment needed.
What insurance do you accept?
VSP (Vision Service Plan), Spectera (United Health Care), Davis Vision, and Avesis Insurance. Most major medical plans also accepted.
Do you see children for eye exams?
Yes. Both doctors are experienced with pediatric patients of all ages. Dr. Pedarsani is particularly known for her ease with young first-time patients.
Do your doctors speak Spanish or Farsi?
Yes. Dr. Pedarsani conducts exams in Spanish and Farsi. Dr. Mohana speaks Spanish and Arabic. No interpreter needed.
Can I fill my contact lens prescription at Costco?
Yes. Costco Optical is located next door at both locations and typically offers the most competitive contact lens pricing available.
What is LASIK co-management?
We perform your pre-surgical LASIK evaluation and all post-operative follow-up care locally. Surgery is performed by Berg-Feinfield Vision Centers — our partner for 15+ years.
